A pool deck takes sun, water and foot traffic every day. Garrison’s Landscaping builds paver and stone pool decks, coping and surrounds for homeowners in Reidsville, Eden, Madison and Wentworth, and in Greensboro, Stokesdale and Oak Ridge. We are Licensed, Certified & Insured.

Slip-Resistant, Heat-Aware Materials

We build decks with travertine, marble and concrete pavers chosen for pool use, with textures that stay comfortable underfoot. Paver decks go on a compacted base so the surface stays level around the pool shell.

Coping, Walls and Water Features

  • Natural stone coping, bullnose or modern slab edges
  • Raised pool beams and stone-faced walls
  • Steps and transitions from the house to the deck
  • Poolside fire bowls or fire pits

Drainage Around the Pool

Water must leave a pool deck, not pool beside it. We pitch every deck away from the house and the pool, and add drains, including trench drains, where the layout calls for them.

Lighting and Showers

LED path and step lighting makes the deck safe for evening use. Outdoor showers and changing areas can be built in masonry as part of the same plan.

Where We Build Pool Hardscapes

We build in Reidsville, Eden, Madison and Wentworth, and in Greensboro, Stokesdale, Oak Ridge and Summerfield.

Planning Around the Pool

We look at the pool shell, the surrounding grade, drains and how your household uses the deck. Surfaces are chosen for slip resistance and comfort underfoot. You receive a written estimate.

The edge between the deck and the pool is where problems show first. We set coping on a stable base, leave expansion joints where the material calls for them, and pitch the deck so water runs to drains and not back toward the house. Matching steps and walls tie the pool area into the rest of the yard.
